The Salvation Army helps heaps of people around Australia in all sorts of ways. Lots of people need help – in fact, the Salvos help thousands and thousands of people every year. Some people need meals made for them. Some need clothes, some need help to give their kids Christmas presents and some need somewhere to live. That’s what The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal is for – it’s a time when people in the community give money to the Salvos so they can help people in need.

You can help by asking a parent or guardian to help hold your own school event or to sign up to start an online fundraiser. They simply set up a fundraising page and ask family, friends and networks to donate. You'll all be doing a bucket load of good for those in need by helping us provide food, bedding, emergency accommodation and much more to those doing it tough. ​⁣
