The internet is an amazing place that is full of helpful information, cool videos and fun games. But it is really important to protect yourself too because almost EVERYONE is online!
Never give out your real name online or tell anyone where you live or where you go to school. DO NOT SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Don’t get into arguments with people online or engage with “trolls”. If you are being harassed, tell an adult and block the bully. Remember people will say things online that they would never have the guts to say to your face!
Only communicate with people you know. If you are playing online games make groups with your friends only.
Tell an adult if you see or read anything that upsets you.
Remember that the internet is permanent – anything you post could be there forever!
Have fun, stay calm and remember to unplug every now and then and get some fresh air!
